5 Awards In Video Games World

The possibility of this sport industry in Indonesia is currently increasingly developed and developed, according to the arrival of many game developers who made various regional games that were successful in the sector and a number of them even won various awards in the world arena.
Various award events emerged as a form of appreciation for game makers and also proof that the potential of the gaming industry cannot be underestimated.

 Well, here are some awards in the business of games that are quite popular and frequently held every year.  

1.  The Game Awards

The Game Awards are awards that are routinely held annually since 2014 in Microsoft Theater.  The award that is routinely held each December is triggered by Geoff Keighley.  At that time, Geoff Keighley worked as a game journalist and manufacturer of the Spike Video Game Awards (VGA) for Spike TV.  After 10 years working at Spike TV, Geoff Keighley resigned since he was frustrated with some VGA program changes.  Following that, he collaborated with several businesses, such as Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft, and several other significant development games to fiscally support and create a new award event known to date called The Game Awards.  In total there are 102 nominations, such as Game of the Year, Best Game Direction, Best Story, Best Art Direction, Best Rated / Music, Greatest Audio Design, Games such as Impact, Greatest Ongoing Game, Best Mobile Game, and Lots of others.  In fact, the excitement of the audience in 2017, the number of live streaming audiences of this event reached 11.5 million viewpoints, a remarkable increase of 202 percentage from 2016.  

2.  D.I.C.E Awards

The award, which has been held for 22 years because 1996 is held every year, and just in February 2018 was held yesterday.  D.I.C.E itself stands for Design, Innovate, Communicate, Entertain which was formerly named the Interactive Achievement Awards (IAAs).  This award is the most accepted from the interactive entertainment community with the number of voting members over 33,000+.  The voting method is licensed and supervised by Votenet Solutions, Inc..  D.I.C.E awards also offers 4 special awards, such as The Hall of Fame, The Lifetime Achievement, The Pioneer Award, The Technical Impact Award.  Along with a series of additional overall awards, Action Game of the Year, Adventure Game of the Year, Mobile / Mobile Game of the Year, Role-Playing Game of the Year, Strategy / Simulation Game of the Year, Outstanding Game Direction, and Lots of others.  For this calendar year, among the heroes that appears to have called will win the prestigious title - Breath of the Wild from Nintendo appears as a champion.  Not only won the Sport of the Year award, Breath of the Wild also won several other important classes, such as Game Direction and Game Design.

3.  The International Mobile Gaming Awards (IMGA)

The International Mobile Gaming Awards ("IMGA") are yearly competitions and normal game awards made for mobile devices.  IMGA is an international contest for mobile games.  Since 2004 Marteen Noyons as the founder, held this award.  Initially, just 85 studios participated, but now the number has grown to 800 studios.  Excellence in Gameplay, Excellence in Storytelling, Excellence in Innovation, Excellence in Design, Greatest Serious Game, Best Technical Achievement, Best Social Game, Best Multi-player Game, and many others.  The judging process occurs in Marseilles, France in January every year.  Jury members are encouraged to play and review submitted games and select nominations.  The primary evaluation criteria are the mechanism of gameplay, sound design quality and visual art and creativity in storytelling.  The winners of the eight classes were determined by a jury of international experts and journalists from Asia, the US and Europe.  

4. The Golden Joystick Awards

The Golden Joystick Awards, also called the People's Gaming Awards, are held yearly since 1983.  Initially, this awarding occasion can simply be voted on by the British public, but as time goes by, voting can be carried out by anyone online.  Golden Joystick awards This is actually the 2nd earliest video game award occasion after the Arcade Awards.

Initially the award focused on computer games, but later expanded to include consoles as well, due to the achievement of video game consoles like the Sega Master System and Sega Mega Drive in the UK.  The 35th annual award took place on 17 November 2017 yesterday in London.  A number of awards were won, namely Best Storytelling for Horizon Zero Dawn (Sony Interactive Entertainment),

Best Visual Style for Cuphead (StudioMDHR) matches, Best Sound for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (Nintendo), Greatest Gaming Performance for Ashly Burch as Aloy (Horizon Zero Dawn), Greatest Indie Game for Friday the 13th: The Game (Gun Media), and Many More.  

5. The British Academy Games Awards

The British Academy Games Awards will be the annual British game awards event.  First held in 2004 following the restructuring of the BAFTA Interactive Entertainment Awards, awards were given by the British Academy of Fine Arts and Film (BAFTA) and are therefore often referred to as the BAFTA Games Awards.  Even the 14th British Academy Games Awards, held on April 12, 2018 at the Tobacco Dock at London with a series of prestigious nominations, including Artistic Achievement, Debut Games, Audio Achievement, Game Design, Family and Social Games, Evolving Games, Beyond Entertainment Games, and many others.
